I enjoyed the top tips, especially in relation to Ludwig VB - I wonder if we could get a recurring series about "Compositional Tips from X Composer." Though I guess that's not really TP's main MO.
NTT: I've got to know what this is, because I quite like it! And kudos to listener Jeremy for exploring the full range of single-reed wind instruments.
Joey seemed to think for some reason that saying the magic word “concertino” was a big giveaway, but I'm hard-pressed to name the big concertino composer of the 20th century, except for — and I'm about to do an epic pull — Lars-Erik Larsson. But there's no way this is him.
I'd put this around 1925, and it seems French (or maybe American) so my first guess is going to be Milhaud. That opens the door to the other five members of Les Six. I don't think it's Poulenc, but I do think it could be Germaine Tailleferre.
I should probably throw in one American... but who? Nah, I'm sticking with Milhaud and Tailleferre.

And I'll also recommend some Bolcom, his "Twelve New Etudes" which are at this point 'new music canon' for pianists: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9uF9x6KXIDQF8l9t7mWqg9RMMB42GXV7&feature=shared
I wholeheartedly endorse getting to know more Bolcom. As with everything, Tone Prosaics should turn ear to the clarinet: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kLZG0md3FySxhiq6ek69v0DY4zNQIRloU&si=VmuyKMzo91RupjAY
